My Kye Guy ---

I love this little man!!!
He makes life so much fun ---The minute he hears the dish washer door open he is headed in that direction ...
He loves to "help" you unload EVERYTHING!!
I love his cute little chubby legs on his tippy-toes!
Those legs are so fun to SQUISH and SQEEZE!

Recently he has joined in the dress-up scene with his Older Siblings ... Thanks Emma for not leaving Kye out!
Most days Kye goes about the house Pants-less.
Not because I didn't put pants on him, but because he's too SKINNY!
When he menuvours up and down stairs he looses his pants MOST days ...
... What a PAIN to keep putting them back on, so they get left off.

---

Lately this normally HAPPY go LUCKY boy has been CrAnKy because of the lack of sleep he's been getting!
His Dad had him last Saturday for an afternoon nap session that was not going well
so, what did Dad do?!?!
He FINALLY put his crib back together, so this kid would SLEEP!
{I have been asking for that since he took it off before Christmas}
Hopefully this week we are ALL a little HAPPIER at the Madsen Household!
One thing we did learn from all the crankiness is ...
He LOVES to hang up-side-down!
Even if he is SCREAMING, the minute he's hanging up-side-down he LOVES life again!

This kid has the smile that can melt my heart!
I love my thumb-sucking little cuddles I get with him!
I love that he walks around this house like he OWNS it!
I love him toddling after Emma and Zachary!
I love that even when he gets a door slammed in his face he can turn around and SMILE anyways! ... Shouldn't we all do that?!?!!
I love him!!!
I just wish he would NEVER grow-up!
{Do you know that song by Taylor Swift??? Don't ever Grow up ... I love it and play it ALL the time! Especially on the days that seem to be more strugglish for me! It reminds me of what I truely value in my kids.}
**Emma has informed me that she will still turn 5, but she promises me that HER kids won't grow-up like she is ... they will be little for me FOREVER! **

FOOTBALL!!

Every year the BOYS get together and watch the Super Bowl together. It gives me a night alone with the kids.
This year I acutally wanted to do something FUN with my kids.
I am really trying to enjoy every moment I have with my kids.
Here we are enjoying the game on the couch ...
Yes, we actually got to watch it and laugh at all the commercials!
We enjoyed the game with a bowl full of JUNKY food ---
Don't worry we first ENJOYED yummy meat and cheese hoagies filled with lots of vegies!
Yes, my kids LOVE their vegies!

Kye was thrilled to have SNACKS readilly available and kept signing MORE ...
SOOO---O Cute!!!While "watching" the game we also enjoyed playing 2 rounds of Candy Land ...

And playing with many toys ...Kye has learned the conept of walking and DOESN'T stay still for any amount of time.
It's such a fun stage of life and it's so much fun to watch him ROAM around!

It was a fun & simple night, but I think my kids had fun.
Happy FOOTBALL Everyone!
Hope your team won!!!
We rooted for the GAME of FOOTBALL since I didn't care who won.
Yes, we shouted "GO FOOTBALL GO"

Grandma's Cookie Party ---

This is always such a LOVE for my kids!
They love CREATING their own creations.
It's fun and VERY messy,
& my Mom is so PATIENT and loving to want this to happen EVERY year!
Here's the Fab Five all lined up and ready to DECORATE ...Here's the OLDER 6 REALLY ready to DECORATE!Kye just loved enjoying the cookies ...Zachary got right into the icing mess ...Emma was thoughtful with her creations ...Then Kye was handed ICING and LOVED life!Emma made some FABULOUS creations!!{Notice the ONE bite out of ALL her cookies ... CAAA-UTE, I love it!}Zachary LOVED, LOVED the sprinkles a little too much!
He made some REALLY creative creations!
The sprinkle obsession led to many tears because Mom seems to always spoil the fun!!
Sorry SON!Once Kye was all cleaned and out of his seat, he spend the rest of the cookie party partaking of all the other's rejects off of the floor ...
Which led to many more tears from him because he did NOT want to be washed off AGAIN & again! ... SORRY once again!
Here are all the of Zachary's GREEN creations ---
Here's all the kids cupcake creations ---
Thanks again Mom for the FUN COOKIE PARTY!!!

---Funny side note:
I heard a little conversation between my niece Michaela and Zachary and this is how it went.
Zachary: "What a boo-tiful cookie" pointing to one of her cookies
Michaela: "Thank you Zach" then she looked at his cookies with a wondersome look and said, "What creative cookies you made Zach!"
It was cute how Michaela really looked for something nice and positive to say about Zach's cookies even though they looked, ummm ... ODD!
It's so fun to watch the cousins interact and listen to thier little coversations!!!

Go Jazz Go!!!

On Wedenesday Feb 2nd we had tickets to go to the JAZZ game!
Last year Emma got to go, while me and the boys stayed home cause they were just too little!
Luckily this year Zachary and Emma were old enough to attend and my little sister was willing to turn down last minute, front row tickets to the same game and watch Kye for us!!!
THANKS MEGIE AND BLAKE!!!!
Excited to FINALLY be all the way up to our seats!!!Yep, we sat one row below the top row and had a BLAST!
We even had GREAT company ...
Dave and Michell-o!
The Jazz ended up losing at the last second, but at least it made for an EXCITING game!

My kids loved the game!
As we were walking out of the arena after the game we ended up seeing Darrin Williams driving down the street. Because of the backed up traffic we walked past him several times.
Once we got to our car, Alan stood by the side of the rode and waited for Darrin to pass by us again. He went out into the middle to rode and waved to him and received a peace sign back from DARRIN!
Yes, my husband is a "WAVER"!!
But how do you pass up a "waving" opportunity when you are that close!!!
Let's Go JAZZ!!!
I hope they start WINNING ... SOON!!!!

Snow-shoeing Date

For Christmas my Hubby & I were surprised on our doorstep with THESE beauties ...We have both been DYING to use them since!
Alan used them with his brother's on their "Freeze-A-Thon" a couple weeks ago.
Since then I have been giving him the GUILT trip, so that he'd take me.
hehehe
Well, it only took him a week before he PLANNED the date and took me ...
WAHOO!!!My Brother Dave and Girlfriend Michelle came along for the fun adventure! It was so fun to walk around and explore!Of course this fellow has to do EVERYTHING the hard way to make it more ADVENTURESOME!
{secretly that's one of the reasons I Love Him, although its so nerve racking!!
just don't tell him!}
Then Michelle brought a Jet-boil machine and we were able to have HOT chocolate out in the wilderness ... SO fun!
{it was HOT, HOT, HOT ... I burned all my tastebuds OFF ... OWIE!}
We all had a fun afternoon together!
I love this man and how adventure-some he is!
It's always fun to spend time in the great and beautiful outdoors!!!

Field Trip ---#4

--- To the Post Office and Krispy Kreme ---
It's always so much fun to get to spend a lil' one-on-one time with Emma.
We spent the morning at the post office Mailing letters ...Learning how the mail gets sorted, organized, and right to our home ...
And looking at the Mail Vans ...Then it was onto the most GLORIOUS place on earth ...
{in my opinion!}We got to see how doughnuts were made and also got to TASTE test them ... YUMMMM-O! Thanks Emma for letting me come along and ENJOY your field trip with you!
I hope you always LOVE to be with my like you did THIS day!!!

Weekend at Grammy's

About 2 weeks ago, Alan's brother's and Dad went on a little FREEZE-a-THON,
oh I mean Snow Caving ... BRRRRR ... CrAzY!!!
Yep, pretty sure I got the better end of the deal being able to STAY HOME WITH THE KIDS!!!!
Anyways ---
Him leaving made it so me and the kids went to Grammy's for the night/next day.
It was a fun weekend full of COUSINS!!!
It's fun to watch all the little ones play together and enjoy each others company.
While the littlest ones played upstair amongst the Mommy's the rest of the Cousin's spent the night watching a movie in the basement.
I love the look of the all cuddled up with all their blankies ... Well, mainly just my 2 since they can't live without ALL THEIR STUFF and packed their stuff themselves, with my helpful hints of course!
{It's cute STUFF -ok!?!- that's why I suggest it!}While the kids were downstairs watching a movie, on a little laptop ...
the Mommy's were upstairs enjoying their own version of a moive fest with 2 wonderful Chick Flicks!!
WAHOO for Girl time so we can PROPERLY enjoy CHICK flicks!!!It was deemed a successful SLEEP-over in my eyes becuase my kids actually SLEPT!
... SUCCESS ...
Some of my Sister-in-laws perceptions may be much different because they weren't so lucky in the sleep department.None-the-less us Mommy's stayed up LATE!
We got up early and MADE a divine breakfast
& had a FEAST on the FLOOR!
YUMM!I was exhausted from staying up late & running.
I felt grouchy, even though I was assurred I wasn't ...
I think they were being too NICE!
ANYWAYS ---
We enjoyed the morning at Grammy's & got home almost exactly the same time as Daddy
... PERFECT timing in my eyes!
It was a BLAST of a weekend and hope that the next "Freeze-a-thon" we can enjoy more time with Cousins and Grammy!!!
