HALLOWEEN …..

Halloween time is BUSY around our house …. 1st we had our ward Trunk or Treat.  It was a fun night of dressing up, eating candy-soups-& rolls, playing fun games, face painting, & going through the Ward Haunted House. 

This was the 1st year that my kids actually MADE it through the Haunted House …. We were all in line to go through, but only Zach & Kye made it the first time….. Emma chickened out!  Then she decided she didn’t wanna  be out done by her brothers SOOOO we tried again ……she made it THIS time & liked it too.  She didn’t LOVE it like her brothers, but I think she felt accomplished that SHE DID IT!!!

{you have to CRAWL through this haunted house that the YM in our church make….. it’s a PAIN to take scaredy-cat kids in, but it’s a fun tradition they ALWAYS do….. Zach can’t WAIT until next year’s haunted house, but I think Emma can!}

 

The NEXT event on our Halloween agenda was the Fergy Family Halloween Party------

It happened the Friday before Halloween & it was a SPOOK-TACULAR event….. as always!!!

Kye had fallen asleep on the way down to my parents so he was CLINGY to ME!!  I’m not gonna lie…. I LOVED it!  He usually wants my Mom over me & it was fun to get some extra time with him …..sorry Mom!

The FOOD was DELICIOUS!!!

 

  The costumes were REMARKABLE!!!      

& the TRUNK-O-TREATING was such a BLAST!!!

We had homemade rootbeer with special “added” ingredients like rats, toes, skeleton bones, & such ….. the kids were all watching so intently & I think a few mighta been GROSSED out, but it was funny to watch them against the walls react to the “ingredients” & the dry ice boiling over!!!

Treehouse Museum

Zachary couldn't WAIT for this field trip!! It was just like his excitement for Christmas!!! {i wonder if this will be the year of waking up bright n' early on Christmas .... We've never had that with our kids!!}
He talked about it all week & I was so proud of Emma! Although she asked when we could go there as a family .... She also acted genuinely excited for Zach & Kye to get to go.
{yes, I took Kye along for the fun this time cause I knew I could handle him in this kid friendly place!!}
Zach talked about riding on the fire engine, playing with trains, milking the cow, & riding horses .... So we made sure to do all those things AND so much more!! It was such a fun day spent with my boys!!!
I'm so glad that on THAT day we were all feeling up to par to participate!!!

Sick dayzz .....

So the Hubster has been working CRAZY hours lately .... Like he got 72hours of work just last week.... CrAzY!!!
As we rolled into bed together at 11pm last night, after he got home, I said, " I wish we had a whole day to spend together!"
...... Well I got my wish in a sick & twisted & miserable way .....
at 2:00AM Emma started off the spewing! After showering her, changing her bedding, & starting a load of laundry the good 'ol Hubby started in on the "fun"! ----- YUCK!!!
After cleaning & comforting him, we finally drifted to sleep just in time for my lil Baby Boy to come in my room bawling ---- yep, another one bit the dust!!! :(
The spewing of the 3 of them went on through the rest of the morning/night ---- with many loads of laundry piling up!!!
At about 5:45 I made 2 trips outside in the FREEZING cold so Hubby could get info to his boss about the job that he's supposed to finish up tomorrow --- yep, HUGE deadline & he is out of commission today!!
Needless to say this has been an unplanned absolute LAZY SICKY day!!!
Em slept until 10:30 .... Kye & Daddy have faded in n' out all day long & I am on my 5th batch of laundry with MORE to come ..... :(
Zach & I haven't succommed to the spewing as of now .... Thank Goodness!
I think it's food poisoning ---- :( Yep, I think our dinner last night made them all sick --- I feel terrible that I poisoned my family!!!! :(
At least I have an excuse to sit/lay around with my 3 cute Kidd-o's!!! They melt my heart & I wish I could magically make all 5 of us be back up to par!!!! ....... Hopefully TOMORROW!

Kye & I time ...

I am going to admit this even if it makes me sound like a non-loving Mommy ----
I LOVE & LOOK FORWARD TO MONDAY & WEDNESDAY MORNINGS!!!
Those are the mornings where I have 1 .... Yep ONE ... Child at home & it's heavenly!! It's the child who can self entertain & the lil boy who the minute everyone leaves says, "let's GO Mom!!" Yep, he LOVES to run errands & just be GOING!!! :)
It's fun to have time just Kye & I!!! {I know that is grammatically incorrect, but I think it sounds cute together, so thats the way I'll say it. :)}
So 1 week ago .... Yep it's hard to believe a week ago Utah looked so dreamy & fallish still .... I didn't have much planned for the day. After I dropped off some books at the library Kye spotted a park & asked excitedly .... "We go to a PARK Mom?" How could I resist? AND I'm glad I didn't !!! It was one of the funnest moments to the day!!!
I Love my lil Kye-Guy & all his personality & love of life!!! Thanks for the fun day at the park lil Boy!!!
{& the best part .... He came home & CRASHED after lunch while he was playing the Wii with Zachary}

Winter Wonderland

I love the snow ....
Especially when it's WINTERTIME, & it's supposed to be covering my yard!!! We had a BLAST playing in it at home & then decided we'd venture to a hill to go sledding! {we had to go without Daddy cause he worked all-day-long .... BUMMER} It was fun sledding .... A bit stressful at times ... By myself, but I'd definitely do it again!!! Can't WAIT for more snow so we can go again!!!

Girls Weekend ---

So about a month or two ago Alan got to go on a “COMPANY TRIP” that was FULLY paid for by the company.  They went to Seattle & enjoyed a weekend AWAY from work …. JEALOUSY insued on my part …. tsk tsk I KNOW!!!

Once he found out about that trip he told me to “GO, PLAN SOMETHING for YOU!”  So when he got back my in-laws started TALKING & I started pushing it to happen …. :)

It was just a night/day away, but it was so DELIGHTFUL!!!  I love my in-laws …. in fact I consider them just more SISTERS!!!! 

We started off the weekend Friday night enjoying dinner at this LOVERYLY place … mmmmmm my mouth just waters thinking of my DEILICIOUS dinner!!!  MUST. GO. BACK. SOON!!!!

Then we went to check-in to our 2 bedroom suite at the Park City Hotel & were SWIFTLY upgraded to THIS:

BOO-YA!!!!

It was such a nice place!!!  The beds were COMFY, the bathrooms were SPACIOUS, the chairs were so loungeable!  ….. We felt like QUEENS all weekend long in this place!!!

After getting situated we “SUITED-UP” & went SWIMMING!!  The pool was heated, so we had fun RACING back & forth, playing hands up stands up, dunking each other, & giggling our heads off!!!

After swimming we got ready for bed & ate dessert, chatted, played a funny game of TRUTH or DARE, & watched a movie …. aka I got a cat nap during the movie!!!  {

The next morning I woke-up around 9:30am to THIS:

It was NEAR blissfulness to be able to SLEEP-in & then enjoy this BEAUTY as I ate breakfast, read MY book, & went for a morning run ….. AHHHHHHH it relaxes me just to THINK about that delightful morning!!!

We then got ready for the day:

…… & headed to the Park City Outlets to SHOP OUR HEARTS OUT!

               

We’ve decided that this is a MUST repeat event!!!  It was fun to get away …. it was fun to relax …. & it was fun to be together as Sisters & Friends!!!!

Ahhhhh …. I can’t WAIT to do THIS again!!!
