Ahhhh ... I'm TIRED!!!

Isn't SUMMERTIME the best time of the year!!! You do so many things each and every day that at the end of the day the kids are TUCKERED out! We have been so busy doing so many things that it seems as if my kids have been EXTRA tired ... I am not complaining by any means. The quiet sound of my house is one of the most glorious times of the day. The only thing better than the quietness is going in and watching them sleep. I love watching my kids sleep and have peaceful dreams ...
SHHHHH: KIDS SLEEPING!!!I love that Emma and Zachary end up most nights in the same bed.
Alan or I move them when we go to bed, but it's so cute that they love each other that much that they don't want to be away from each other!

I LOVE, LOVE how Kye sleeps!
He is EVERYWHERE in his crib, plus the bonus feature of his sleeping is his THUMB SUCKING!
It's darling now, but I hope it won't last.
Ahhhh ... I love being a Mom of such CUTE KIDS!!!!
Sleep Tight, and Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite!!!

I have learned so much!!!

- I have learned to SPIT my FOOD all over Mommy's face, :)-I have learned to SIT-UP all by myself!

- I have learned to FEED myself crackers, cheerios, and little pieces of TABLE FOOD!!

- I have learned to "WALK" in the WALKER!
Yes my Mom is tearring out her hair with the thoughts of me REALLY walking ...
Watch-out Mom, it's coming SOON!

- And Last but not LEAST, I have learned to CRAWL!!
Yes, CRAWL all by myself!
Watch out WORLD, here I COME!!!

I am 8 months old and could not be HAPPIER with life! :)
What can I learn to do in the next couple of months ...

Ward Campout

The last weekend of July was our ward campout. It's always a fun event, but this year we just went up for the night. (My little sis was going through the temple the next day, hence why we didn't sleepover!) They had some pioneer activities/games after dinner that my kids enjoyed!
Here's Zachary participating in one of MANY tug-o-wars.
He loved being apart of them and would PULL with all his little MIGHT ... DARLING to see a little red faced Zachary!!!
Kye hung-out just enjoying being somewhere new!
Emma and Zachary made Sock Puppets while we were there and have since not let them out of their sight. It's been so cute to see those little creatures attatched to their arms 90% of the time!!

Emma did have to try on the sock puppet hair ... Silly Girl!

Kye also enjoyed eating Grass, and Leaves and he sat around the campground watching the grown-ups STICK PULL!

Emma enjoyed a little game of Yarn-ball.
(aka Baseball with a ball of yarn)

All-in-all it was a fabulous time had by all!!

Best Buds

The other day we had our neighbor's, the Weedops, over for dinner and Zachary loved their little girl Eden! Once we went outback Zach grabbed her and wouldn't let her go. Luckily Eden didn't mind and seemed to be okay with the whole idea of being drug around by a little boy who wouldn't LET GO!!! Too bad we just found out our neighbors are MOVING so these two won't have very much long to HANG-OUT!!!

24th of July

We started the celebrating of the wonderful Pioneer Weekend on Friday night with the Wendel's. We went to the Bountiful Celebration fireworks and my kids LOVED seeing fireworks once again ...

The next day we headed to Grammy and Grandpa's to do a mini Slip n' Slide.
It was fun for the kids, but we are hoping to do a GINORMOUS one as a family over Labor Day ... CAN'T WAIT!!!

Then Grammy played with the kids while the adults played games ...
Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Fergy's neighborhood for a BBQ and ILLEGAL FIREWORKS!! Yep, $1,000.00 worth of illegal fireworks ... needless to say Grandma was TERRIFIED that her big tree and HOUSE might not make it through the hour LONG show ... BUT IT DID!!!My kids liked it until Emma got her foot burned by the sparkler and Zachary lost interest because it was a little TOO long for his liking ... I know AMAZING that he lost INTEREST cause that's what he talks about the minute it starts getting dark!!!
It was such a fun day!
We are glad that we got to celebrate with BOTH sides of the families!!!

SLIP N' SLIDE!!!

Our neighborhood joined hoses and gathered together at Syracuse High School to do a GINORMOUS slip n' slide down a HUGE hill. It was such a BLAST!!!
Emma LOVED going down with the girls that babysit her!
Zachary loved going down with Daddy and Mommy!
Kye just loved to take part in the activity!!As you can see ... there were A LOT of us!
It was a fun time for both kids and parents!!!Both of my kids would RACE up the hill the second they got done, so they could get another slide ASAP!!!
Thanks Wangemann's for the GINOURMOUS billboards to do it on!!!
We will have to do this activity AGAIN!!!!
:)

Nature Walk

About the time that the HEAT wave hit, a month ago, my friends and I decided to take our kids on a nature walk that we run all the time. This is not a FLAT nature walk by any means and pulling a wagon with a baby strapped to the front of you was quite the work-out, but it was well worth it!!!

Here's all the kids chillin' on the bridge where we stopped and played in the water ...

Here's how Kye spent the ENTIRE walk and didn't seem to mind at all ... what a GOOD kid!!!

Zachary and Emma loved the water, the adventure and the bridge!

Once we were done playin' in the water my awesome friend had the idea to put Duct Tape on the kids arms and let them collect "nature" on the walk back. SUCH A CUTE IDEA!! Both my kids LOVED it and it kept them fron whinning even though we were ALL exhausted and HOT!!
Here are some of Emma's Treasures she collected to put on her "Nature Bracelet" ...
Zachary loved to stick things on his "Bracelet" too.
The funniest sight was Zachary trying OVER, and OVER, and OVER again to stick a BIG rock on his bracelet. He would stick it on and move a 1/2inch and then it would topple off. So he would pick the rock back up and stick it on, just to have it fall off in the next milla-second. It was HILARIOUS to watch his determintation to get that rock to STAY, but to no avail ... the rock finally won the battle and Zach gave up.

Emma's final "Bracelet" was full of flowers, of course, and she still treasures that piece of duct tape even a month later!!!This both Emma's and Zachary's "Nature Bracelets".
They did a wonderful job finding so many different things to fill the spots on their bracelet!
Thanks Megan and Anna for such a FUN summertime activity!!!!
We want to do it again, but think we will wait until the fall when it's a little cooler, so we don't FRY to death!!!
