Memorial Run-Down

So Memorial Day was a fun day around our house! We got to hang-out with family, exercise, and hang around our house enjoying a day to be together! Here is some of the FUN we had ...Kye learned to take a bottle ... YIPPITY SKIPPITY for ME!!!

Emma has mastered the bike riding and LOVES it, hopefully by the end of the summer we can learn without training wheels ... Yippity, skippity for her!!

Zachary LOVES to ride bikes as well, and LOVES to be like his sister!!

We ATE, and ATE, AND ate YUMMY food!!

Mom chose to sit here and ended up getting her drink dumped on her from kids jumping ... SILLY Mommy!!

Alan pulled a fuuny CAMERA prank ... Sorry Charisse, hehehe

We played, and PLAYED, AND played ...

We had LOTS of time with COUSIN'S!!

Alan cooked YUMMY, DELICOUS chicken on the Barb-e-Q.

Zahcary WASTED all the men in the family with his ARM wrestling SKILLS and LOVED IT!!!

And we got up BRIGHT and EARLY to run a race together ...

It was a MARVELOUS day to reflect on the ones we love who we will see someday again!!!

HIS DAY!!!

My little Zachary turned 2, yeah that's right TWO on the 23rd of May!! I can hardly believe that my little guy is old enough to be two, but at the same time, he is an OLDER brother. I love my darling little boy! It's so fun to have him as part of our family! He makes us laugh, smile, and tear our hair out EVERY day!!! Boy I am grateful to have BOYS in my little family!!!

Onto the day of Celebrating:

In the morning we hurried through the present opening, and breakfast so we could be ON TIME to church. It made for a TRICKY morning, but it went PERFECTLY!

As you can SEE, he LOVED his TUNNEL and TENT!!

He also got Buzz, Woody, and Rex and LOVES carrying them around.

The Big Coloring pages were ingenious! Now him and his sister can both color with EASE and their is NO JELOUSY!!Here's the HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY Happy to have a DAY ALL FOR HIM!!!!

(Yes, he did get jealous on Emma's Birthday, but he did a good job!! He deserved a day for him!)

Bolwing was a HOOT with him!!

He would "HELP" set-up the pins

Get up and throw the ball as FAST as POSSIBLE

And scream with excitement everytime the pins would go FLYING!!

PERFECT!!!!For his cake, I decided to CHEAT just a little and do "DIRT" cupackes in the back of a dump truck. It turned out REALLY cute and ALL the cupcakes got eaten which is the most important part ... NO WASTE for MY EFFORT!!The whole time we sung he led us with the biggest HAPPIEST GRIN EVER! He lights up my life with that little face of his!!!It's always so much fun to watch little ones blow out candles. It took him about 6-7 blows/sprays, but it was DARLING to watch!!Kye REALLY, REALLY wanted to join in the fun of EATING cupcakes with the FAM! Next time Bud, Next TIME!!!

Zachary we love you so much!! Thanks for teaching us to love unconditionally! You have such a silly, and goofy personality that we genuinally need in our family! You melt our hearts with your BIG hugs and your BIG kisses! Even though we get the GRUMPY eyes ... A LOT... we wouldn't want it any other way! Your mischeiviousness keeps us on our toes and always LAUGHING! You never seem to amaze me with how much TIME you could spend outside and IN the WATER! I love your chubby cheaks that I get to squeeze and KISS everyday!!! I love snuggling you even if it is a RARE occasion!!! I love the SWEET words you are learning to say and I love carrying on conversations with you. My favorite words to hear you say are, "I uve-ewe"!!! and you have said that for almost a YEAR!! Thanks for making our lives so lively! Thanks for loving your sister and brother more than anything!! And protecting them, no matter what!!

I LOVE YOU, thanks for being my BUDDY BOY!!!!!

Races, Races, Races ...

Wow, we have been super BUSY!! Througout the last month or so we have attended MANY, MANY races. Here they all are:

On May 8, Alan had his first Triatholon. It was the South Davis Tri and it was a fun event. Tri's are my favorite to watch because there are so many elements to watch.

And the Running. I missed him biking becuase I was looking for his clothing and he wasn't wearing what I thought he would be. :(Alan did a good job, but hurt his IT-Band just before this Tri, so it affected him a little.These are the 3 guys from our neighborhood that did the Tri that weekend.

Way to go BOYS!!

Onto the Ogden Marathon.

This was a scary race for me!! Because of Alan's injury to his IT-Band I was nervous the whole time that he was going to injure himself TOO bad by trying to finish this race. I saw him at half way and though for sure that he was done, but kept going. Although his IT-Band hurt from mile 4 on, he was able to run in a different way to compensate his knee pain and finish the whole 26.2 miles in 4hrs. 15min.

It was off his time he wanted to be at by 45min., but thankfully he was able to finish and didn't need surgery!!!

Emma did a Kid's K after Alan's Marathon.

It was her VERY FIRST race and she had a lot of FUN!

(Didn't run most of it, but once we got finished she said, "That was so fun Mommy, can we do another race??"

Of COURSE you can!!)

This was a cold, cold day!

First he swam ...

On Memorial Day I competed in my VERY first race. Yep, that's right I DID!!

It was a 5K that was just around Syracuse.

I loved it and finished in a descent amount of time.

I have greatly improved since I first started running in December and I am really starting to feel like I am ready to run Ragnar in a little over 2 weeks!!!

My sisters' came up for the run which made it all the more fun!!!

I love being able to run and feel so good afterwards!!

He's Eating!!

Yep, that's right my little Kye is getting so big and has started eating the beloved "cereals." (Well he actually started about a MONTH ago, but I just forgot to post it then ...)

I would have to say the first time he had it, he didn't do THAT bad ... I've had worse reactions! He was tired of it pretty fast, but all-in-all he does better and better with it.

He likes the "oatmeal" version better, but because of bowel issues we need to stick more with the "rice" version which is not his FAV. (Hopefully it becomes more of a fav!!!)

So here's the proof of the first attempts ...

This is the point at which he was DONE!!! Can you tell by the facial expression ... :)

Zachary likes to help and SAMPLE some of the product. He sometimes is a little jealous of the attention his brother gets and him helping out seems to mend the jealousy he feels. I love my little Zachary and Kye! They are opposites in most ways, but are the sweetest little boys EVER!!

We love our little Kaiser Baby and are so glad that he was sent to be apart of OUR family!!

Let the eating adventures begin!!!

PINKALICIOUS

Now I definently don't do parties every year for my kids for 2 reasons ... #1- My kids don't need more STUFF and #2-I would go INSANE! My kids will get a couple of friends parties over the years and one is done at age 4. Why age four you ask? Because they are little so you can do ANYTHING and they love it and its right before they get a TON of friends at school who you then feel like need to be invited!!

So onto the CELEBRATION ...

Emma LOVES they color PINK, who wouldn't when they are FOUR???

So, when I saw my friend threw a Pinkalicious party for her little girl I knew that would be a HIT with my little Girl. It was a BLAST planning it and Emma loved going to the store with me to help me get all the PINK STUFF!!!

Here are the invitations we delivered to each of our party guests ...

I had a GLOURIOUS time making these PINKALICIOUS cupcakes!!

I think they turned out looking pretty close to being an exact replica from the book ... They were EASY!!!

We decorated for Emma's Birthday and just added some more pink stuff the day of the Birthday Party ...

Theses are the wonderful party favors we gave to our guests as they left to thank them for coming.

First we colored some Pink coloring pages and then I read them the Pinkalicious story once everyone got there.

Then we broke out the beads and let all the kids pick and choose what beads they wanted in their special bracelets. It was a little CRAZY with 4-5 yr. olds, but oh SO WORTH it!!

Then we enjoyed a delicious PINK lunch.

It consisted of Cream Cheese and Strawberry Jam Sammies, Strawberried, Grapes, Yougurt, Pink and White Wafer Cookies, and Pink Lemonade ... YUMM-O!!

Then onto the cake we went singing Happy Birthday and Eating our Pinkalicious Cupcakes.

Don't worry, no one turned PINK!!!Emma opened her gifts and got some really cute things!!

It's been wonderful to have more coloring books, some swim stuff, a darling cake bank, and a stylin' dress!

Thanks so much for the CUTE, CUTE things!!!
