Emma’s 7th Birthday

I think I say & think this EVERY birthday my kids have, but SERIOUSLY…. a 7 YEAR OLD??!!??  I cannot believe it!!

My Princess turned 7 on the 28th of April.  I am so grateful that I am blessed enough to be her Mom!  She is so sweet & truly teaches me how to be kind to others even when they aren’t nice to you.  She has had some hurt feeling by lil girls in her class this year, but she tells me all the time when we have talks, but Mom…. We NEED to be nice to everyone!  Isn’t that what Jesus would do? I tell her we can be nice, but we don’t need to keep putting ourselves right in their aim. To which she replies… What if I’m the only person that talks to so & so today.  I don’t think she has a lot of friends & I want her to know someone cares about her even if she is mean to me later.  She has such a TENDER heart!!!

I am grateful to have my lil Girly buddy!!! She is total GIRL & most of the time I TOTALLY love it!  Yes, sometimes dealing with girls is difficult….especially when she is my MINI-ME, but I truly enjoy all her girly-ness!!!

Emma’s Birthday was on a Sunday this year.  We were able to spend the day as a family celebrating her AWESOME-NESS!  We did presents in the morning, surprising her with a bike that was outside.  She found it as we made her take out her wrapping paper garbage… he he he… we are sneaky-sneaky! We went to church & she LOVED having it be her exact birthday!  Then it was time to get ready to go to G&G Madsen’s house for their monthly FHE dinner with the whole Madsen side.  Emma was THRILLED to get to spend the day with her cousins, aunts, uncles, & grandparents.  She especially loved having LOTS of people to sing Happy Birthday & blow out her candle.

Happy Birthday Lil Girlie! (you’ll ALWAYS be my lil girl… just get used to it!)

March/April Re-cap

There was STUFF that went on that I need to document, but we are going to do it in one BIG LONG POST…. most of the pics are self explanatory & just CUTE of my kids, so I’m posting it…It’s my blog, so I CAN!!!

Here’s a lil explanation of some of them….We spent A LOT of time at City Creek cause Alan was working INSANE hours building another Johnny Rockets…The only way we got to see him is if we went there.  I LOVE City Creek, so we had no problem hanging out, playing on the Dino’s, & getting to see Daddy. :)

We celebrated Alan’s 32nd Birthday by taking our kids to Tacono’s.  Alan ate free with his birthday coupon & so did ALL our kids since they are under 8…. SCORE!!! They loved it & it was a fun family outing where they practiced there VERY BEST MANNERS!!!

We had another foot dr. visit for Kye… Everything still looks A-ok!

We went to the Home Depot craft Saturday & our kids are LOVING being able to build STUFF.  We also have started to have nice enough weather to play outside….SCORE!!!

Zachary had a field trip to J&J Garden Center & Krispy Kreme, where Kye & I tagged along. It’s always fun to learn things right along with the kids!  Zachary started spring Soccer & we had bonus cheerleaders come & watch!  Daddy had more outta town work, & Mom had some SURVIVAL nights where she VEGGED out….Perks of being a MOM!!!

We painted our bathrooms…. FINALLY!  One was an automatic success…the other was a FAILURE with the purple barney the dino paint. :( Luckily my Hubby re-painted the next day with the turquoise & it was a SUCCESS!! Our boys LOVE to try & help Daddy with ANY & EVERY project… & of course they have no fear of ladders or tools.

We did a hike on Antelope Island & found out we have quite the good hikers!  It was fun to watch them hike along, sing songs together, race up & down the trail, & push themselves all the way to the top! It’s fun to have them all at an age to HIKE on their own!

Emma has WAITED, & WAITED, & WAITED for a loose tooth…. FINALLY she has one.  She told me she bashed her teeth with her water bottle cause she wanted a loose tooth SOOOO badly.  The next day, she officially had a WIGGLY tooth & would not eat ANYTHING remotely hard for the next 4 weeks.  Finally one night Daddy convinced her to TUG at her tooth since it was REALLY loose by that point.  Yes, there were tears shed, but eventually it came OUT & she was THRILLED!!!  It fell out the week of her 7th birthday.  She thought that was an awesome EARLY birthday present!!!!
